A California restaurant says sales doubled ‘the day after’ after Trump’s victory
Celebrity chef and restaurateur Andrew Gruel joins ‘The Big Money Show’ to discuss California’s minimum wage law and its impact on the food and restaurant industry.
California restaurants are celebrating Donald Trump’s divisive victory with rising sales, according to celebrity chef Andrew Gruel.
“The day after Trump won, our sales doubled almost week to week. And I talked to restaurant owners all over the place because I posted about that. They were like, ‘Us,’ ‘Us,’ ‘Ours. food. [has] went up, ‘This went up.’

According to Gruel, restaurants are “the best indicator” of people’s emotions.
“I think it’s just a sigh of relief that, okay, it’s over,” he said during an appearance on “The Big Money Show.”

“We know what we’ve seen in the Trump administration. And whether people want to say it publicly or not, they know it’s going to be a strong economy.”
Chef and restaurant owner Andrew Gruel details the impact of the port strike on the industry.
As the nation prepares for Trump’s second term, Gruel warned California Democrats that people are starting to “wake up” to his “crazy” policies.

“It won’t go from blue to solid red [state] at night. But people opened their eyes. They wake up,” Gruel concluded.
“Newsom is coming to the end of his tenure. So it’s going to be interesting to see how that moves in terms of not only his departure, but how he talks about policy. [on] his way out.”
