I The Ashlee Simpson Show alum and Fall Out Boy rocker welcomed Bronx Mowgli in 2008, the same year they tied the knot. After three years of marriage, the then couple announced their separation in 2011.
“I’d be a fool to think I didn’t play a part in solving this problem,” Wentz said. Howard Stern of their divorce in 2015, explaining that he was struggling personally and in his marriage during his 2010 hiatus from the band. “Of course, at first, I would say, ‘This is sad! You paid me!’ But you get the idea. We have a child together. Our baby is fine. He is beautiful.”
Simpson and Wentz both went on to welcome children with new partners. The “Boyfriend” singer, on the other hand, is married Evan Ross in 2014. They welcomed daughter Jagger in 2015 and son Ziggy in 2020.
The bassist, meanwhile, is the father of a son Saint, born in 2014, and a daughter Marvel, born in 2018, with a long-term love. Meagan Camper.
“It’s great. We have a great family,” Simpson said Us Weekly in 2018 to work with Wentz and Camper. “We were really lucky.”
Ross added that the two couples are “good friends.” Months ago, the son of Diana Ross admitted that having a blended family “can go in different directions,” but both families are on the right track.
“I think there is a lot of respect between all of us. That makes it easier,” he said at the time. “It’s easy, we’ve been really lucky with that.”
I 90210 alum also spoke about her relationship with Simpson’s son, telling Us: “Bronx, my adopted son, is a genius. I think he’s going to be the next George Lucas [with] his mind.”
Wentz offered his own insight during the interview Us in 2019.
“Telling someone what the key is [coparenting] it would be crazy. I think it’s important to listen and balance people,” he said, admitting that he “doesn’t have all the answers” to reproductive success. “[Ashlee is] good mother.”
Wentz added that Camper is also a “good mom,” adding, “A good person. She’s a good balance for me.”
The couple’s eldest son made waves in June 2022 when Simpson shared a photo of Bronx looking grown up.
“Dinner in London with my lovelies,” Simpson captioned a series of photos from the family vacation with her kids and Ross.
