Can “Fat” Fury Beat Usyk? Analyzing His Chances
Tyson Fury is still struggling in the month leading up to his rematch with three-time heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk on December 21 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Fury’s situation is alarming for a fighter who will enter one of the most important fights of his life, but it is possible that the desire is gone for the former WBC champion.
Fans on social media are questioning how serious Fury, 36, (34-1-1, 24 KOs) is about this fight to keep his belly fat 30 days before his crucial rematch with Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs), who beat Gypsy King when they last fought on May 18.
100 Million Payday: Fury’s Diminished Drive
Fury is estimated in months $140 millionand reportedly earned $200 million during his 16-year career. The money that Fury has and the big fund of the intersection with Usyk on December 21 is said to make more than $100+M.
For all that fury Fury has done, his work ethic has disappeared, leading to him still sporting a big belly with a month to go in his second fight with 2012 Olympic gold medalist Usyk.
Anger Blaming the Judges for His Failure
“It’s no secret that I’m going to go in there to take you out because I don’t think I’m going to make a decision no matter what I do,” said Tyson Fury talking to James Becker, sounding happy, saddened by the defeat. Mind goes into his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk a month from now on December 21st.
“I don’t think I will make a boxing decision. So, I’m going to have to take it out on a jury like I did in America at the time [Deontay Wilder rematch in February 2020]and I have to get him out of there.”
As you can see, Fury has a victim mentality going into his rematch with Usyk, believing he was wronged in his previous loss on May 18. Instead of looking at his performance and allowing himself a bad fight, he criticizes the judges.
Fury’s attitude is the worst one can have. He does not have the confidence to admit that he has made mistakes. So, instead, Fury deflects the charge.
Revenge on the mind…💭
