Bukhoma Boxing Tonight: Joshua Vs. Dubois Results from London

Anthony Joshua fights Daniel Dubois tonight for his IBF heavyweight title at Wembley Stadium on PPV. The event will be shown in front of 96,000 fans and will be shown live on DAZN PPV.

We’ll be showing live updates and results from the evening’s action below.

– Bloody and bruised appearance Josh Kelly (16-1-1, 8 KOs) combined Ishmael Davis (13-1, 8 KOs) and dodged a bullet, winning a 12-round majority decision in the middleweight contest. The scores were 114-114, 115-113 and 115-114.

His replacement, Davis, 29, started slowly but came on strong in the twelfth round to drive a tired looking Kelly in with some big shots to the head. Bleeding from cuts above his left eye and on the bridge of his nose, Kelly was forced to move and hold to survive the 12th.

The action in that round was similar to Kelly’s loss to David Avanesyan in 2021. He succumbed to Avaneysan’s pressure the same way he did in the 12th against Davis tonight. However, the 30-year-old Kelly had banked enough early rounds to win a narrow decision, but it wasn’t his most impressive form.

– In light of the welterweight action, Josh Padley (15-0, 4 KOs) pulled off a major upset, defeating the lightweight Mark Chamberlain (16-1, 12 KOs) by ten round unanimous decision. The scores were 95-93, 96-92 and 96-92.

Padley, 28, dropped Chamberlain in the eighth round with a stunning left hand. In the ninth round, Chamberlain was penalized one point for shoving Padley.

The undercard is heavily skewed towards British fans, as the US public is not familiar with any of the names. Most Americans will buy the event on PPV to see the Joshua-Dubois fight and not have much interest in the other fights.

Ideally, the organizers should have put in one or two quality fights involving US or Mexican fighters to balance the card rather than it being 100% lopsided for UK fans.

Joshua takes his first fight against a top-level striker in two years since his second loss to Oleksandr Usyk. It is unknown if two-time heavyweight champion Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) is mentally and physically ready to take on a young talent like Dubois. This is make or break for Joshua, who needs a win to show he has something left.
