While the mileage acquisition of AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points between American’s Aer Lingus and Dublin began in December 2023, the new benefits are now available to exclusive members of American’s Advantage program when flying with Aer Lingus and senior members at Aer Lingus AerClub when flying. and America.

Aer Lingus is part of the International Airlines Group, which owns Oneworld partners British Airways and Iberia. As of Dec. 2, 2024, AerClub elite members can enjoy new benefits when flying with British Airways. Members will be notified of specific benefits in the coming days, according to a press release from Aer Lingus.

Aer Lingus operates its lounges at Dublin Airport (DUB) – including a new US Preclearance lounge called 51st&Green – as well as London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) of New York City. It also allows eligible passengers access to American Airlines Flagship Lounges and Admirals Clubs in all US destinations when departing, connecting or arriving on flights operated by Aer Lingus.

The news follows the recent expansion of Aer Lingus’ US route network. With the delivery of the new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, the airline will introduce non-stop service from Nashville International Airport (BNA) to DUB four times a week starting April 12, 2025, and from Indianapolis International Airport (IND) to at DUB, also four times a week but from May 3, 2025.

The carrier will operate 24 transatlantic routes to North America and the Caribbean by 2025.

At this time, you cannot use AAdvantage miles to book award travel on Aer Lingus; however, the American website says this return is “coming soon.”
