Jenn Tran Says She Had a ‘Midlife Crisis’ After DWTS Ends
Jenn Tran he is adjusting to the new normal after his performance Dancing with the Stars season 33.
“Prepare yourself and I will talk about life after that Dancing with the Stars,” Tran, 26, started Saturday, November 16, on TikTok. “OK, I had a little midlife crisis a hot second after I was released Dancing with the Stars. But now, we’re back and I’ve finally found the will to live again.”
He continued, “If I’m telling the truth, I won’t lie.” Maybe I was playing dramatic slash I really liked being on the show, so it was very difficult to go from literally dancing every day to suddenly not dancing the next day.”
Tran compared the experience to “going through a breakup.” He continued, “I felt like I was separated from dancing and I don’t know if it will bring me back or not.” It’s like breaking up with someone because you keep in touch with them every day, and then the next day you don’t have them. Soon the ghost. Nothing. Dancing makes me feel bad.”
Tran noted that her dance journey is far from over. “I have decided to continue with dance classes. And yes, now, Sasha [Farber] he teaches me to dance here and there. Small TikTok videos, small stories. “
He continued, “I am also thinking of taking dance lessons on my own. I thought it was weird, but now I’m like, you know what, I don’t care what anybody thinks, I’m just going to do it.”

Tran said she wasn’t sure if there were any dance classes for adults or what style she would like to learn, but noted that she was “very excited” about it.
“I think back when I was in the denial phase, the anger, the negotiations to get out of Dancing With the Stars, everyone was telling me, ‘Okay. You can still take dance classes,’” she said. “And I’m like, ‘Well, why? Why am I dancing? Like, what am I going to post on TikTok? Nobody cares about that.’”
Tran explained that he realized that he was dancing for no one but himself. “When I was on the show, every time I danced it was said that I liked it a lot. I don’t know about you guys, and I don’t know if I should say this, but I didn’t care about winning Mirrorball [Trophy],” she said. “I mean, yeah, obviously I’m in the competition for a reason, but it was like I just wanted to make it to the end so I could just dance and take every second of what I was able to do. But I didn’t care where I placed.”
While noting that he will not hit the DWTS each week, Tran called her taking dance lessons that are “good for the soul.” He captioned the video, “I like to dance a lot.”
After their elimination from DWTS during the Halloween Night episode, Tran and Farber continued to post TikToks of each other dancing. Earlier this week, Tran and Farber danced the jive Olly Murs‘ “Dance With Me Tonight.” She wrote on TikTok, “I’ve never jive but I think I love it!!!!!”
While rehearsing for separate dances, Tran and Farber have also made headlines for their chemistry outside of the ballroom — but the two have been equally playful about their relationship status.
When asked on a recent episode of the “Sorry We Are Cyrus” podcast if he would consider joining DWTS visit, Tran replied that “he will never love anything again.” Tish Cyrus she added, “How nice is it to go with your boyfriend?” Tran replied, “Oh, God. If you say boyfriend, he will be confused.”
