Three suspects were arrested for shooting at Netanyahu’s house
Israeli police and the Shin Bet domestic intelligence agency have arrested three people suspected of setting fire to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home, media reported Sunday.
The court ordered that the suspects be detained for five days until the ongoing investigation into Saturday’s incident, reported the Times of Israel and Ynet.
The suspects were described as senior members of an anti-government organization.
Netanyahu and his family were not at home and there was no damage to the residence in the city of Caesarea.
Critics accuse the prime minister of failing to take personal responsibility for political and military blunders on October 7, 2023, when Hamas fighters swept across the border from Gaza and attacked.
Netanyahu has also faced a long-running corruption trial, and his critics say he is escalating the wars in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon in order to stay in office.
