The incident happened on November 5, according to a Facebook post by the Hyattsville Police Department. Authorities arrived at the scene of a “double shooting incident” in which an attempted robbery occurred between a man and a woman, who were returning from dinner. The post initially said there were four courses that might be affected.
They were shot and rushed to the hospital. The law enforcement officers stated that it is believed that the injuries received by the two “do not put their lives at risk.”
While Dorzon was not named as one of the victims by authorities, a city council member He gave it to Fisher revealed that the Food Network star, 39, is involved in this incident.

“I am saddened and saddened by the news that Prince George’s County restaurant owner Tobias Dorzon was one of two people shot during an attempted robbery Tuesday night in my county,” Fisher said in a Nov. 6 statement. “Chef Dorzon owns two amazing restaurants in Hyattsville, is a valued member of the District 2 community, and a dear friend of mine.”
He continued: “Such a terrible act could not have happened to a better person.” I extend my deepest sympathies to him and the second victim, as well as their families and friends, and I wish them both a speedy recovery.”
Hyattsville police later updated their statement, revealing that they now have five possible leads and are in the process of locating a white SUV with a sunroof and an unknown tag.
Dorzon later released a statement about the incident on his restaurant 1123 Instagram page to tell fans and customers that he is doing well.
