Tobias Dorzon Shot, Police Seek 5 Suspects in Robbery Attempts
A celebrity chef Tobias Dorzon was shot during a robbery attempt and police are searching for five suspects in Hyattsville, Maryland.
The incident happened on November 5, according to a Facebook post by the Hyattsville Police Department. Authorities arrived at the scene of a “double shooting incident” in which an attempted robbery occurred between a man and a woman, who were returning from dinner. The post initially said there were four courses that might be affected.
They were shot and rushed to the hospital. The law enforcement officers stated that it is believed that the injuries received by the two “do not put their lives at risk.”
While Dorzon was not named as one of the victims by authorities, a city council member He gave it to Fisher revealed that the Food Network star, 39, is involved in this incident.

Dorzon later released a statement about the incident on his restaurant 1123 Instagram page to tell fans and customers that he is doing well.
“Thank you for the amazing love during this difficult time. I am so grateful to be on the road to recovery, and my heart is full to see your messages,” the chef wrote. “Although this incident has shaken us, my team is stronger than ever, and our doors remain open to serve you the food we love to create.”
He added that if anyone wants to support him during this difficult time, they are welcome to come to his restaurant and “enjoy the food.”
