Is Tyson Delusional? The Years Will Show Through Paul
Mike Tyson has a message for worried fans about his 58-year-old grandfather. Tyson thanks fans for their concern, but he will still fight YouTuber Jake Paul on Friday, November 15.
Tyson says he is a different person now than he was in 2005 because he was using drugs and drinking back then. He might be kidding himself. Tyson, 38, the loser Kevin McBride with a sixth-round pick on June 11, he’ll beat his current 58-year-old self.
Mike Tyson estimated earnings $10 millionso he will add to that number well after Friday’s fight against Paul, which will be eight two-minute rounds using 14-oz gloves. If Tyson wins, great, but that probably won’t happen. Jake is an average fighter, but he’s 27 and has a pop in his right hand.
Tyson: A Different Person
Former United heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is getting paid $20 million battle with Paul on Netflix at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. With the money Tyson is making from the Jake Paul fight, it may not matter to him if he is knocked out. Tyson will cry all the way to the bank.
Tyson looked very old in his exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. four years ago on November 28, 2020. I don’t think Tyson looked any better on Friday than that game unless he found the Fountain of Youth aging backwards.
“Thank you very much for bothering me, but I am here. I will be fine. I was a different person. I was using drugs and alcohol at the time. I’m not that person anymore. I see a better picture of myself. I see the light. I see the world from a different perspective now,” said Mike Tyson talking to Manouk Akopyan about how he is a different person than he was 19 years ago when he last fought legally in the sixth round losing to Kevin McBride in 2005.
Mike Tyson’s legacy will be marred by a knockout loss to Jake Paul, and it will look bad for him after that. Many fans are already down on Tyson for how his career ended with losses to Kevin McBride, Danny Williams, and Lennox Lewis. But getting beaten by someone as untalented as Jake would be worse.
Fans saw Friday’s Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight as garbage, and that’s what it is. The undercard is also pure garbage, not a single compelling fight between the group.
WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios defends against veteran Abel Ramos he has lost two of his last three fights. Don’t let that sink in.
