It was the second time Boot Ennis faced Chukhadzhian. The first clash between the two took place on the undercard of Gervonta Davis vs Hector Luis Garcia back in January 2023. Ennis got a unanimous decision victory, but he wasn’t happy with his performance.

From an entertainment perspective, the January 2023 showdown between Ennis and Chukhadzhian was a fight that fans didn’t like. Chukhadzhian was content to use his foot to get around and not get involved, while Boot Ennis intended to give the action but couldn’t, due to having difficulty crossing the ring.

Almost two years later, Ennis and Chukhadzhian met again because Chukhadzhian was the challenger for the IBF welterweight title. In the second episode of Ennis vs Chukhadzhian, the fight was very exciting and loved by the fans.

The rematch had some eye-catching exchanges as Chukhadzhian spent more time in the pocket. The second fight had a completely different look, but at the end of the contest, Jaron “Boots” Ennis defeated Karen Chukhadzhian by unanimous decision.

In defeat, Karen Chukhadzhian had her moments, and because of those moments, opponents of Boot Ennis took to social media to voice their opinions. One of the critics, Ryan Garcia, wrote: ‘The boots will be removed by me.’

Both Eddie Hearn and Boot Ennis admitted that Ryan Garcia is a possible option, and they also admitted that Vergil Ortiz is another realistic opponent for 2025. During the post-fight press conference, Ennis and Hearn didn’t know anyone was calling themselves. the third option is sitting in the room.

As members of the media asked questions, Blair “The Flair” Cobbs was able to put his hands on the microphone to talk to Hearn and Boot Ennis.

“Look, we know the two ways you want to choose, but there is still a third option. That third option is the most exciting man in boxing, Blair “The Flair” fighting Jaron “Boots” Ennis in a blockbuster match in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, woo!”

Promoter Eddie Hearn dismissed the idea because he wanted Boots Ennis to face a top contender in his next fight. When Blair “The Flair” insisted that he was a prominent name, Eddie Hearn replied, “No, I’m afraid you’re not.”

Cobbs went on to state that he is a worthy contender based on his defeat of former multi-division world champion Adrien Broner. Hearn was not impressed with what he accomplished because in his opinion Broner is a shot fighter. Hearn told Cobbs that he is not a candidate for a fight with Boots Ennis, but he could open up an exciting opportunity for Cobbs.

“I fought hard for you, Karen Chukhadzhian,” Hearn said. “I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. I will put up a fight, you against Karen. You beat him, we will fight hard for you.”

The idea that Hearn came up with is a great idea. Blair Cobbs is a boxer who has spent a lot of time fighting for respect. Through 24 laps, Karen Chukhadzhian was in close competition with Boot Ennis. If Blair Cobbs can beat a boxer of Chukhadzhian’s caliber, it will certainly open the doors to more lucrative opportunities.
