Andrea Bocelli Takes Us Behind The Weekend In A Celebration Concert

“I often play the flute, my trusted companion on every trip I take,” the 66-year-old tenor reveals exclusively in the latest issue of Us Weekly about a must have in his dressing room. “It’s an instrument that I enjoy for fun, but it also helps to activate the voice and use the diaphragm without removing the vocal cords.”
Bocelli began singing in piano bars. He rose to fame in 1994 after winning the newcomer category at the 44th Sanremo Music Festival. Since then, Bocelli has recorded 17 studio albums and five collaborative albums. He has sold over 80 million records worldwide and received six Grammy Awards.
Although Bocelli has an extensive music catalog, the classical singer admits that there is one song of his that is very special to him.

Earlier this year, Bocelli celebrated three decades of playing. He cemented the milestone by returning to his roots to perform three concerts at the Teatro del Silenzio (Theatre of Silence) in Tuscany, Italy. Plus Bocelli playing for 30,000 die-hard fans – incl Kim again Khloé Kardashian – on stage he was joined by many star-studded guests.

“The Teatro del Silenzio concert, which was held in my hometown of Tuscany [Lajatico] in the summer. It was a reminder [30th anniversary] the event,” Bocelli shows the performance. “Placido Domingo, José Carreras, Sun Sun, Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain and others celebrate with me.”
