Ukrainian drones hit a Russian weapons factory, Kyiv – National source said
Ukrainian warplanes have raided a weapons factory in central Russia in an overnight attack, a source at Ukraine’s SBU Security Service told Reuters on Saturday.
The attack on the Aleksinsky chemical plant, which produces guns, ammunition and weapons in the Tula region about 200 km (120 miles) south of Moscow, was part of a strategy to target industries supporting Moscow’s war with Ukraine, the source said.
As the war against Russia approaches its 1,000-day anniversary, Ukraine is back on the battlefield against its bigger and better-armed enemy.

Russian troops continue to advance in the eastern region of Donetsk, cutting through Ukrainian defense lines and destroying towns and villages there with guided air strikes and artillery.
Ukraine’s General Staff said on Saturday that the situation at the front was difficult, reporting more than 170 clashes in the past 24 hours, most of them in the east.
Ukrainian officials say strikes against military bases, warehouses, and airfields in Russia will disrupt Moscow’s troop and supply movement and help turn the war in Ukraine’s favor.
Since September, Ukraine has hit several Russian ammunition depots with Ukrainian-made drones, according to Ukrainian security officials.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has repeatedly called on Kyiv’s Western allies to provide long-range missiles and lift restrictions on using them to hit rocks inside Russia.
