This digital concierge service, called a ‘first’ in the Philippines, is a hospitality tv solution. The platform includes an in-room entertainment and information hub, complete with Internet of Things-enabled smart controls and IPTV, high-definition SkyTV. This advanced system improves guest stays while helping hotels improve service quality.
“What we want to create is something simple and time-saving for guests so that they can focus on what is important during their stay, whatever it may be: resting or relaxing, or preparing for a business conference. From their television, they can order room service, contact the front desk, view their flight information, and of course, access in-room entertainment. This is a hub for hotel information and entertainment. All this, in addition to the high-speed broadband internet we provide,” said Converge Chief Executive Officer and founder Dennis Anthony Uy.
The new Converge brand gives guests easy access to a wide variety of entertainment options. This includes live channels, cable TV, streaming platforms, and in-app games. Mr. Uy clarified that this new service, SkyTV, is available in all hotels and does not work only in hotels that use Sky Cable services.
The Hospitality TV solution provides ease and convenience not only to guests but also to hotel managers; the system can be integrated with existing hotel property management systems thus allowing a smooth transition in managing reservations, guest services, and payment processes.
“We are ready to provide tailor-made solutions through this platform for individual properties or hotel groups alike. We can customize the features for example, to control the light and air conditioning in the room. In the background, it also includes a hotel management system so that all check-ins and check-outs are compatible with the payment system,” said Benjamin B. Azada, Chief Commercial Officer of Converge.
“The interface is customizable so we can customize it according to the needs of the customer and their clients. If you want to have four, five or six buttons, we can do that. Additionally, we have language options as well. So it can be highly customized and tailored to our clients’ hotels,” added Converge Technical Manager Bryan Kendrick Uy.
To meet the different needs of hospitality businesses depending on their size, the content and bandwidth of the solution can be adjusted. Thanks to the scalability and flexibility of Converge Concierge, the system delivers a consistently high-quality experience, regardless of the hotel’s size or specific demands.
“This is a scalable platform. This is not only for big hotels but also medium and small hotels. Everyone can use this platform and we hope that it will really help change the hospitality industry,” said Mr Azada.
The hospitality TV solution will be integrated with a fiber internet connection. To help reduce the financial burden on small hotels, the offer will be available through monthly subscriptions and other options.
