Anthony Davis Talks Injury After Pistons Loss
Anthony Davis suffered an innocent injury during the Lakers’ loss to the Pistons on Monday night, but he has explained that it is a permanent injury.
Towards the end of the game, he sprained his ankle/foot multiple times and was seen pacing up and down the field before collapsing in pain.
Here are the 2 games Anthony Davis hurt his ankle.

He still managed to put up 37 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Davis didn’t look too happy after the loss and it was hard to tell if it was because he lost to the Pistons, or if he knew his ankle was going to sideline him for the title — or a combination of the two.
In the locker room, a reporter tried to ask LeBron what it would mean to the team if AD got hurt.
The giant himself can be heard in the background saying “I’m not out”.
In his interview with reporters after the game, Davis explained that it was a mess he had been dealing with since the summer and he got to the point where he was “killing him”.
Some clarity – apparently it’s a foot issue and not an ankle issue. AD later said he’s “not out yet” when I tried to ask LeBron a question about what AD’s potential absence would mean.

After the game, coach JJ Redick said he thought AD was able to play “with the ankle thing.”
Hopefully the injury won’t sideline Davis for too long, as he was in explosive form to start the season.
He is averaging 31.8 points, 12 rebounds, 2.8 assists on 57.3 percent shooting from the field across his first five games of the 2024-25 NBA season.
