Disneyland gets upgraded rides before Thanksgiving, months after Disney World
Disneyland gets its own Splash Mountain just before Thanksgiving.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at West Park in Anaheim, Calif., on November 15, as reported on the Disney Parks Blog.
Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida got its own redesigned version of the ride in June. Coinciding with its launch, Disneyland sent out a “planning tips” guide to park visitors.
The water thrill ride includes “huge drops,” according to the attraction’s website, and is for riders 40 inches or taller. The attraction is located in Critter Country.

Both Disneyland and Disney World’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure have replaced the Splash Mountain ride, which drew attention on social media for featuring characters and music from “Song of the South,” a 1946 animated film accused of using racist tropes. the post-Civil War South.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is based on the 2009 animated movie, “The Princess and the Frog.”

The new ride will only be accessible through a “virtual line” that can be accessed on the Disneyland app. The waiting line will not be available until further notice. Visitors can get in line at two different times on a day to visit the park, which is 7am and noon Pacific time.
Fast-track entry will be available with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, subject to availability.

A few weeks ago, Disney announced the launch of a pilot program called Lightning Lane Premier Pass for Disneyland in Anaheim and Walt Disney World in Orlando. Those willing to pay hundreds of dollars on top of entry ticket prices can experience attractions without waiting in long lines.

The Lightning Lane Premier Pass was launched on Oct. 23 at the Disneyland Resort and on Oct. 30 at Walt Disney World.
No changes have been made to the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass options at US parks.
