Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez abruptly left an autograph session with fans after a fan questioned the 50-year-old about allegations involving Sean “Diddy” Combs. Lopez appeared at the AFI FEST 2024 Unstoppable screening in Los Angeles where she made time to sign her name to a series of fan groups. But when another fan approached and asked “JLo, do you have any comments about Diddy and the allegations?”, the star immediately looked uncomfortable and quietly walked out of the autograph session.
When Jennifer Lopez ran away, fans gathered there begged her to stay. But they were left disappointed as Diddy’s ex-girlfriend left without comment.

Jennifer Lopez and Diddy were hot in the late 1990s and early 2000s as her career was taking off. The couple was in a high-profile relationship from 1999 to 2001, with their photos appearing almost daily in the tabloids. But the relationship was rocky, according to Lopez, who noted over the years that the two had “broken up many times” and that the relationship itself was “stormy” and “emotionally exhausting.”
Nightclub Shooting
Although the romantic relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Diddy was heated more than two decades ago, those with a long memory will remember that the two were once again the subject of a legal dispute after a well-known shooting incident in which three people were injured. The two were attending a nightclub in Manhattan in late December 1999 when Diddy got into an altercation with another clubgoer and violence erupted.
Court records show that one of Diddy’s associates, an up-and-coming hip-hop artist named Shyne, pulled out a gun and fired into the crowd, injuring three people. However, Shyne later insisted that he took the fall and that Jennifer Lopez had lied to authorities about the incident to help protect Diddy. Shyne served ten years in prison after being convicted and publicly blaming his former mentor.
Lopez Will Still Talk About Diddy’s Arrest
Some fans are curious about Jennifer Lopez’s opinion on Diddy’s current legal issues, and rightfully so. Some of the allegations against the star date back to when the two were dating, leading some to wonder if, if anything, JLo knew about any of the alleged criminal and criminal incidents against Diddy. Diddy was arrested in September at a New York City hotel on three charges including sex trafficking.
While some speculate that Jennifer Lopez’s name will continue to surface regarding her former relationship with the disgraced hip-hop mogul, the center of controversy remains in a Brooklyn jail cell. Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied bail by two different judges and is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center until his May 2025 trial in federal court. The “All About the Benjamins” singer is also the target of more than 120 separate civil lawsuits, most of which center around allegations of sexual harassment.
