The new custom list for WhatsApp helps organize your conversations
WhatsApp adds another way to organize all your conversations. If you’re tired of trying to find certain conversations, you can now add them to custom categories, called Lists.
You can create and label lists dedicated to specific conversations, such as those with your family or coworkers. The messaging app will then display them at the top of your inbox, next to the WhatsApp “All,” “Unread,” and “Groups” filters that were released earlier this year.
To create a list, tap the “+” icon in the filter bar at the top of your chats tab. You can enter a name for your list and choose which conversations to add. WhatsApp will allow you to add both group chats and one-to-one chats to your list. If you have multiple lists, you can scroll horizontally in the filter bar to view them all.
The list starts rolling out today, and I’m already seeing the feature in the Android version of the app. If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t worry, as WhatsApp says it will be available to everyone “in the coming weeks.”
