Kelly Osbourne Says Liam Payne Was There During a Hard Time

News broke earlier this month that Payne fell to his death from a third-floor balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the age of 31. A preliminary autopsy revealed the One Direction alum suffered multiple injuries that included “internal and external bleeding.” It was also reported that Payne had several drugs, including “pink cocaine,” in his system.
Some time before Payne’s sudden death, he spoke with Osbourne, 40. During the interview, the TV actor told. Us that Payne was “in a good place.”
“He was checking on me to make sure I was okay,” Osbourne recalled Us. “The fact that no one was there for him just breaks my heart.”
Payne is survived by his parents, two older sisters and his 7-year-old son, Bear, who he shared with ex Cheryl Cole. At the time of his death, Payne was alone in Argentina. He had gone to South America with girlfriend Kate Cassidy, who left a few days earlier. (Told by a source Us (earlier this month when Cassidy, 25, felt “huge guilt” about leaving town without Payne.)
Amidst Payne’s death, many celebrities – including Kelly’s mother, Sharon Osbourne – share their condolences.

Kelly and Payne struggled with addiction during their viewing years. The “Strip That Down” singer has been open about his struggles with alcoholism, which led to his 2023 rehab. Later that year, Payne confirmed that he was 100 days sober.
Meanwhile, Kelly has been in a coma since 2021 after years of struggle.
“It’s a rocky road for me,” Kelly admitted to him Us cover story. “Most days are good, but every now and then, I have a really bad day where it’s hard to get myself out. My natural instinct is to be numb because I don’t need to see pain and I don’t need to feel inadequate. I just can’t sleep. “
She continued, “But, you can’t do that when you have a child. Absolutely not. Finding other ways to get through those tough days can be difficult at times.”
Kelly, who shares 23-month-old son Sidney with boyfriend Sid Wilsonhe continued to be told Us that medicine is “saved [her] life.”
