Love Is Blind exe Marisa George – and his mother – face each other Ramses Prashad about the emotional breakup of the exes during the season 7 reunion, reliving what led to the breakup of their marriage.

During the episode that aired on Netflix from Wednesday, October 30, Marissa, 33, finally got answers from Ramses, 35, about why he ended their relationship.

“There was a day when I was there think it just came home to me and I realized that if I move forward with Marissa, every day I will be in a place where I will feel tired and depressed,” explained Ramses. “I don’t want to change who you are, you deserve someone and love who will accept who you are and I feel that that person cannot be me.”

Before Marissa stepped in, her mother – who was very protective of season 7 – admitted to the audience that she confronted Ramses herself on the night of the breakup.

“I went up there and talked to him and even though I wanted to punch him in the throat, [I wanted] to see what went wrong,” he said, before noting that he was grateful that he finished himself. “Thank you for destroying it. He would carry the relationship. So you did the right thing.”

Marissa’s mother then pointed out that Ramses should have voiced his concerns about romance sooner. “[You should have said]”I have a feeling of doubt” instead of reassuring him every time he asks,” she told him. “He felt as if he came to this place to meet Him. And break him. I had to help pick him up. He was frustrated. You didn’t see that part. You must go and cry as if you were the one who was injured.”

Marissa then got a chance to speak, noting that she really had “no voice” in the relationship because Ramses never contacted her. “Everything you just say is ‘me.’ But we are together. It’s like, if you talk less about my feelings, I don’t have a say in how we can grow better in a relationship.”

Ramses ended the interview by apologizing for not being “more present,” telling Marissa that it was her “one regret” about her experience on the show.

He also offered an explanation for their written argument about contraception, where he seemed frustrated that Marissa wanted him to wear condoms so he wouldn’t have to go back on birth control.

“I want to make it clear that I never tried to introduce Marissa to the end. “She had valid reasons why she didn’t want to use contraception and I know its effects on a woman’s body, so I never tried to force her,” he said. “We came up with a solution that worked best for us, and it wasn’t just me being shy and being bold and, like, ‘Oh, I don’t want to use a condom or whatever that idea is.’

And I’m afraid that something might happen that will end up hurting you.”

He continued, “After getting married again, like, seeing other marriages, I don’t think that love alone is enough. This connection is amazing but there are certain things you can’t walk away from, especially when it comes to living together and spending day to day together which is of opposite importance. That’s what could hinder us in the long run.”
