Eddie Hearn says Tyson Fury will need to be aggressive and fight United heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk to win their fight on December 21.
Hearn’s fighter, Anthony Joshua, has twice failed to beat Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs), so he is not sure what will work against the talented Ukrainian.
The Matchroom boss, Hearn, wants Fury to win, but he can’t give him any helpful advice because he’s 0-2 against him. Hearn knows it probably won’t end well for Fury. He is 36 years old, and all the things he needs to win, he does not have physically. Fury needs the Fountain of Youth something intense to win.
All he knows is that what Fury tried in their last fight on May 18 was unsuccessful, and he was almost knocked out by a split decision in 12 rounds.

I can imagine how Hearn must feel seeing Fury on the verge of losing for the second time and knowing that if he does that it will destroy the money to fight Joshua. Hearn is powerless to help Fury. How can a drowning person save another? Hearn’s fighter, Joshua, has his own problems, and he’s doing everything he can to keep his faltering career going.
Hearn keeps Joshua passive, guides him to success with Daniel Dubois, and works his way through the outcome of the Fury-Usyk II rematch.
