Mark Cuban defends Harris position: ‘I’ve changed my positions a lot’

The host of “Shark Tank” and candidate for the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris, Mark Cuban, appeared to criticize the nominee of the Democratic Alliance who changed many positions between his first and second runs for president.

“What did you think of Harris when he ran for president for the first time in 2019?” ABC anchor Jon Karl asked Cuba Sunday morning on “This Week.”

“I wasn’t paying attention,” Cuban replied.

“Were you not paying attention?” Karl followed. “You know the position he took. He was Medicare for All, Green New Deal—”

“But he represented the state of California,” Cuban noted. “The People’s Republic of California, right? If you have a far left state, you know, you’re going to do what those – your citizens want. If you’re representing the United States of America, it’s too broad and-“

“He took those positions when he first ran for president,” said Karl.

“I get that, but this is where we are now. That was not a long-term thing, and I think you learned the hard way that some things – “answered Cuban.

Karl asked, “Do you think he believed that, or was he doing it for the run?”

“I think he really believed it, but he has to talk about those things. What I like about him is that he always says he has an open mind, and he’s proven it,” Cuban said.

He added, “I’ve changed a lot of my positions in the last five years. Donald Trump has changed his. I think a lot of reasonable people have changed theirs, and, you know, to say this was your position on Medicare. To all of them, this was your position on whatever it might be, and it’s a shock.” that someone has changed their mind, it’s a big shock that someone is scared.”

Cuba acknowledged that Harris had difficulty explaining his positions and why he changed his mind on other issues such as the border.

“There’s two things there. He’s only been running for 13 weeks, and when he first ran, when he replaced Joe Biden, he had an awareness problem, you know. Even Donald Trump was saying, ‘I don’t know who Harris is. Do you know who Harris is?’ And he had bad ideas, so he had to spend, what, the last 13 weeks, for people to know him and see that he is alive, he is smart, he has an open mind. “Cuban said.

He continued, “If you’re trying to win that battle, you’re not going to answer all the details of everything, you know, have the opportunity to answer all the details, and the proof is in the pudding. Like I said, the negatives and, you know, being where Joe Biden is again in 13 weeks in a dead heat, and it’s a toss-up.”

Cuban did the same during an appearance on “The Brian Kilmeade Show” on Friday.

“But if you’re representing the People’s Republic of California, that’s a completely different job than being the President of the United States and representing all of the American people. And he’s definitely changed in his positions,” Cuban said.
