Scheana Shay Confirms Katie Maloney Is Dating ‘Sweet Guy’ Nick Martin

Getty Images (3)Katie Maloney maybe she’s not talking about the rumors that she’s dating a guitarist who sleeps with Sirens Nick Martin – but Scheana Shay he gave Vanderpump Rules fans scoop.
“I actually met him this weekend. We were all around the artists’ trailers in the hangout area, and he and Katie were coming up while I was standing at the taco truck in line getting food. I said hi,” Shay, 39, recalled on the Friday, October 25, episode of his “Scheananigans” podcast. “She also introduced me to her boyfriend.”
Shay noted that not all Bravo viewers are happy with the pairing, adding, “There’s been some stuff on the Internet lately. I saw bits and pieces. But let me tell you, he couldn’t have been more beautiful.”
While they were at the same event, Shay got to know Martin, 41, a bit.

“He’s from San Diego and we just talked about that. Then I ran back to them and later back to the hotel at the end of the night, and I was a nice guy. I caught the end of their set,” he continued. “Actually, we left Fall Out Boy early because they were playing at the same time. But I wanted to check out Sleeping With Sirens. I wanted to see what the band was all about. They were really good.”
Shay is excited about meeting the new guy in Maloney’s life, saying, “It was fun. I’m happy to see him, meet him, see the team and it’s been a great weekend.”
Maloney, 37, surprised fans when he revealed earlier this month that he was seeing someone. “I have a boyfriend,” he shared on October 16 in his episode Dayna KathanThe “Rude” podcast. “Yes, I am in love, everyone. I am really happy.”
Aside from discussing their relationship, Maloney chose not to name the mystery man.

“This weekend, I went to see my boyfriend. He has to go to work, I went to meet him and spend time with him,” he said. “It was really amazing because I hadn’t seen him in a few weeks and just getting to know him, spending quality time and being around him was really necessary and really nice.”

Before finding love with Martin, Us Weekly broke the news of Maloney’s exit no Love Island USA‘s Connor Newsom. The source said Us in July that the two were spotted at the Laurel Tavern in Studio City, California.

“I never felt important. He didn’t really have my back or protect me or make me feel supported or heard. I wanted that validation from him. So I made myself small in ways. I lost myself. I was a shell of a woman,” Maloney said during the September 2023 episode of the “Almost Old Man” podcast, which came one year after her divorce was finalized. “It took me to work on myself in general – not because of all that – but I didn’t feel good in my body and in general. I wanted to increase my confidence and I started working on myself.”
At the time, Maloney made it clear that he did not regret his decision.
“I was not asking for the country. I was asking for someone to pick me up and they failed. Over and over and over again. It turned out to be a voice that was getting louder and I couldn’t deny it anymore,” he added. “It was months – a period of months – and I just came to a place where I needed to be real with myself and be real with him. I just knew. I started to ignore myself. I still loved him but the love between us – that connection – that love was gone.”
