Starting with the release of three episodes, the final season of What We Do in the Shadows brings new depravity and great challenges for the gang. A roommate who has been left to sleep for too long is awakened and forces Laszlo, Nadja, Nandor, and Collin Robinson to examine their choices and prompts them to start a new adventure.

A new roommate joins the vampire family What We Do in the Shadows Season 6, which holds up a mirror to the team and reminds them of their previous ambitions for power. Jerry (Michael Patrick O’Brien) has been asleep since the 70s and wakes up wondering what was accomplished while he was asleep. These questions become the cause of the vampires of Staten Island, who feel a renewed desire to pursue their dreams.

Collin Robinson (Mark Proksch) is disillusioned by the lack of communication between himself and Jerry and is motivated to seek friendship elsewhere while Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) makes Guillermo’s success in the human world her personal goal.

Moving vampires are very interesting because even though they are scary being vampires, they fight the same things as humans. Seizing this day is central to the story this year, and the failure of the characters they face is a tangible representation of our struggle in the world.

The series still holds a 95 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes after six seasons, and fans are hoping that the final season will bring some of the larger themes of human weakness to the fore and give them a regular treatment. If the first three episodes are any indication, the magic is still alive in one of the best comedies on TV. The first three-part series of What We Do in the Shadows Season 6 is streaming on Hulu, and new episodes will air on FX on Tuesdays and will be available to stream on Hulu on Wednesdays.
