CNN’s Jake Tapper admits his Democratic allies are ‘shocked’ Harris ‘isn’t closing a deal’

CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Gov. Wes Moore, D-Md., on how to talk to Democrats who are “still nervous” about Vice President Kamala Harris’ chances in the race.
“I’m hearing from Democratic friends who are, in fact, shocked that Vice President Harris isn’t closing the deal. I’m sure he has more Democratic friends than I do. What do you tell them when they reach out to you and say they’re worried about this election?” Tapper asked.
“I would tell people that it’s important that we get to work. The days of hand-wringing are gone. And one thing we’ve seen is that the vice president continues to do it – make his point and present his message. He’s changing people, and think about it, another thing we have to tell people is that you can’t sit on the sidelines in this, said Moore.

JAKE TAPPER SUGGESTS MALA HARRIS SHOULD DO MORE EVENTS JUST BEFORE THE ELECTION.
He added, “You can’t be in the middle/or of this situation and you can’t sit on the sidelines. So if people, especially people, and I’m going to say this both to Democrats and Republicans, to people who say I don’t like it. Donald Trump and I think he’s a danger to society, but you don’t have the political courage to endorse the only person would-be President of the United States, which says more about you than he does about the campaign we’re running.”
Tapper’s question came the other day after Harris’ town hall with CNN. After the event, Tapper’s producer Dana Bash also said he heard from people that Harris “didn’t seal the deal” for voters.

“What I’m hearing from the people I’ve been talking to, is that if his intention was to close the deal, they’re not sure he’s done that. And, you know, some people have asked, if he’s being done. He’s stuck on another level maybe the world he lives in. And in the question of who he is, people understand that a little,” he said.
Tapper also criticized Harris’ city hall performance.
“He’s very focused on Donald Trump, I think it’s fair to say, rather than talking about a lot of things he’s going to do as president,” he said.

“I think after eight years of Donald Trump, people are realizing that Donald Trump is a person, his inability to argue, his ability to provoke and things like that. And I wonder if he thinks that maybe he’s done too much,” Tapper said.
