The Sixth Sense it was an instant smash was a hit upon release and quickly became the second highest-grossing film of 1999, despite the status of M. Night Shyamalan as an unknown filmmaker. Today, The Sixth Sense it offers the highest Rotten Tomatoes rating of any Shyamalan film to date, with a nearly perfect critics’ score of 86 percent.
Personally, I find it to be one of the things from Shyamalan’s catalog that can be fully enjoyed without the veil of irony, unlike the bad-as-a-good director’s projects like What is happening, A long time agoor his recent release, You are a trap.
