Since there are so many diseases that are carried by mosquito bites, this research may save many lives. In many places around the world, viruses such as yellow fever, dengue, Zika virus and malaria cause hundreds of thousands of deaths each year. In 2022 alone, more than 600,000 people succumbed to this, according to the World Health Organization.
Although Yautjas are more dangerous than mosquitoes in appearance, they are clearly the two most dangerous predators to humans.
