92 days: Kamala Harris has yet to hold an official press conference since her Democratic nomination

Vice President Kamala Harris has taken 92 days as a presumptive, and now she has been nominated for the Democratic presidential nomination without holding a formal press conference.

Trump has held six news conferences where he has taken questions from the media since early August, including one this month after meeting with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp about hurricane relief efforts.

President Biden also held a news conference in the White House press conference room earlier this month, where he teased a return to the 2024 race.

Harris ended his streak of not appearing on Fox News on Wednesday, however, sitting down for an interview in Pennsylvania with political anchor Bret Baier.

Harris has stepped up her talk show in recent weeks, including doing radio hits, a sit-down with a Philadelphia TV station, and friendly appearances with “The View,” Stephen Colbert and Howard Stern.

But as for when he will hold an official press conference as a candidate, that day may never come, at least while he is still up for election.

Conservative Radio Libre host Jorge Bonilla feels Harris should hold a press conference but said it’s probably “useless” because he keeps passing.

“It is unlikely that he will hold a press conference because the media has empowered and encouraged his ‘plexiglass basement’ strategy, where he maintains the illusion of being there while being completely unavailable to the media and therefore unaccountable,” Bonilla told Fox News Digital. .

Trump has skipped several potential interviews in recent days, but he did appear at the annual Al Smith’s dinner that has already featured presidential candidates doing light roasts. Harris decided not to go, sending a video message instead.

“You know I grew up in a place where people were proud of their place,” he said. “And I was raised to believe and know that all people deserve dignity, and that we as Americans have good morals.
