1. Reseller apps and manufacturer sites

Downloading apps from major retailers can lead to additional savings not available in stores or online. From The target again Walmart at your local drug store, many offer secret app-only savings and offers. Marketers try to get us to buy more from their app by bundling in-app purchases with store downloads which can sometimes offer additional savings. Check out each app in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, never from a link or other site.

The way it works is simple. Register for free onlinethen use their app or website while shopping at stores that give you a commission to refer you to their shopping site.

Rakuten shares a portion of the commission it earns with you. Once you’ve earned enough cash back, you can choose to receive a check, have it paid into your PayPal account or use the American Express rewards program.

How does this work: You can use the PayPal Honey app directly, but it’s better to use it as it was designed as a browser extension. Once added to your browser, it tracks where you shop and applies the best coupon codes without you having to do anything. Just watch the total price drop as you check if there is a match going for a good discount.

The PayPal Honey browser add-on is available for Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Edge browsers. Also, to be safe, only download directly from your browser and not from a link or email offer.
