7 Best Digital Photo Frames (2024): Wi-Fi, High-Res
Honorable Mentions
• Skylight 10-inch frame for $170: This framework was a respectable previous statement, and it is still a strong framework. We like other frames better for the price, including the new Skylight Frame 2 (especially with its Snap Frame accessories).
• Cozyla Frames: We have tried a few from this brand. The image quality was good and there are strong features like only showing images that match the current frame position. I found the app to be frustrating, however, and comes preloaded with unnecessary graphics. You could hide them in your frame, but there was no obvious way to remove them completely from the app. If you happen to find one at a deep discount, grab it, but other than that, I’d wait for an update.
• MyFirst Frame Doodle for $129: This framework is aimed at children, with a cover you can draw on and an app feed that family members can use to share photos and chat. But it is very expensive for the quality. It was slow and unwieldy like Aura and no matter how many times I deleted photos from the library, they kept coming back.
• Lexar’s Pexar 2K Digital Photo Frame for $160: This frame can be turned into portrait or landscape mode, and has a small stand that attaches magnetically to any surface. It’s a nice frame, but the screen isn’t as good as those of the same price. Pexar is made by Lexar but uses a third-party app, Frameo, which works well but has a weird Instagram-like uploader limited to 10 photos.
• Simple Home Smart 8-inch frame for $160 again Aeezo 9-inch frame $110: These will get the job done, but their applications aren’t nearly as easy as their pricier counterparts. They’re better than the Atat below, but, like the Cozyla, they fall under the $100 threshold. If you can spend a little more, the $150 Aura is a better buy.
• Monster 8-Inch Digital Frame for $70: We used to recommend Monster as the best cheap option, but as of this publication, it is not available. The touchscreen was remarkably fast, and the 1280p screen gets you great pictures. You can use Google Assistant or Alexa too. It was limited to 4,000 photos, while the Aura offers unlimited storage, but that’s still a lot of photos to display.
