Players will need a quiet place if they want to survive the game A Quiet Place

Saber Interactive claims its game A Quiet Place: The Way Forward will have a relevant feature that may seem obvious but is not guaranteed: using your microphone, the game will notify in-game monsters of your presence if they hear you making a sound — both in-game and outside. And when they hear you, they come to you. Just like in the movie!

The microphone part is optional, or I would turn it on myself. While Saber says that giving the game access to your microphone would mean game monsters “can see every sound you make in real life,” it appears from the trailer that even your vibrating controller or hair dryer can put you at risk.

A Quiet Place far from a single game to use a microphone as part of gameplay — heck, it’s not even the first game to be scary. But I’m having trouble thinking of a game worth putting in. (I keep going back to yelling “Resistance!” while playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on the Nintendo DS, but that’s not so scary.)
